The Story So Far

Grace's Journey

It was 2008 when Grace Mae received a pink microphone for her 3rd Birthday, the rest they say is history. Fast forward to 2013 when winning her first talent quest led her to start taking her love of music more seriously.

"I remember performing in the end of year show in kindergarten and thinking that music and performing were going to be an important part of my life."

Two years later and Grace graduated the prestigious Junior Academy of Country Music in Tamworth as the youngest vocalist and bought her fist Cole Clark guitar and in January 2016 she set off for the Tamworth Country Music Festival. The vibe, the people and all that the festival bought started her on her journey as a music artist.

With her acceptance at a performing arts school and further years of experience in performance, winning multiple awards at Country Music Festivals, recording and playing live Grace returned to the Junior Country Music Academy in 2019 and subsequent 2020 festival, appearing on stage for 13 performances including the Tamworth Songwriters Showcase as a finalist, Junior Academy Showcase and sharing the stage with Amber Lawrence at her album launch for 'Spark'.

For over five years Grace has been gigging up and down the south coast of the Illawarra, leaving audiences amazed by the talent of this young artist and captivated by her unique sound and emotive performances of originals and covers.

2020 was a very reflective year for Grace and the pandemic and spare time allowed her to develop some of the materials that she had been working on.

'The Music Goes On' and 'Skipped a Beat' are representative of a young wave of country music that we can relate to and introduces Grace Mae as the 'girl next door' artist that everyone wants to get to know.

Grace Mae has had the most support and guidance of some of country music's most accomplished artists and this is increasingly evident in this new music. Together with Grace Mae's high energy, honest and down to earth personality, she has the talent, drive, and ambition to become one of the next new voices in Australian country music.
